The Gretzky Gang

The Gretzky Gang are part of the Gretzky family, a branch of the Belarusian mafia. They are located in the UK, where they perform a kind of outreach service, specifically in the City of London, where their primary activity is money laundering. The gang is led by Bruno Gretzky, a complete psychopath who does not hesitate to remove anyone who happens to get in his way. The names of the other members of the gang are not generally known.

Maxim Kravchenko was one of the people killed by the Gretzky gang, leading directly to his brother Sergei providing Tom Winscombe with a briefcase packed with explosives, which he ended up unwittingly delivering to them in exchange for Dorothy Chan, thinking that it contained the Vavasor Papers.

The Gretzky gang were also at the heart of the big secret surrounding the Vavasor twins, in that the twins were commissioned by Rufus Fairbanks to provide algorithms to assist with their money-laundering.

Bruno Gretzky leaves behind a widow, Yuliya, and a son, Alexei.
