I sent it to one or two other places after that, but without any great enthusiasm, as I still wasn't entirely sure if it was any good. Then I sent it to the 2015 ''[https://www.yorkmix.com YorkMix Poetry Competition]'', where it was again Commended, by the judge Carole Bromley.

===Notes===
I'm still not 100% sure whether or not I like this poem. The way it pits an old male philosopher against a young vacuous female seems ever so slightly sexist, but the fact that it's been commended in two separate competitions suggests that maybe I'm overthinking this.
