Inspiration

Tasty Teresa was written for no other reason than to amuse myself. I'd got the couplet about finding Teresa in <someone's> freezer / in convenient family-sized joints in my head, and I had to write the rest of the poem to find out how they'd got there. The male protagonist was originally called "Hannibal", but that seemed a little too obvious, frankly, so he became Mario, to rhyme with "lothario."

Publications

Tasty Teresa was published by Every Day Poets on March 21st, 2009, and subsequently in the anthology "The Best of Every Day Poets One".
