The Kumar Triplets, Sanjay, Rajen and Anita from Chennai in India, are among the few mathematicians who have been permitted to view the Vavasor papers. Or at least two of them - Sanjay and Rajen - are, because the theory went that, owing to the complexity of the arguments put forward in the papers by the Vavasor twins, they were only capable of being understood by other sets of twins. For the purposes of the Kumars' involvement, therefore, one of the triplets had to be left out, and inevitably it was Anita. Unfortunately, as she was the only one of the three who had any real expertise in Mathematics, having published upwards of seventy papers in the subject, as opposed to Sanjay and Rajen's combined total of three, no real progress was made.
