Mrs Darcy, Episode Thirty-One
And it’s supper time at Lady Catherine de Bourgh’s. I encountered a problem with this episode when I checked to see what the correct pronunciation of Cthulhu was, because I found out that Cthulhu also turns up in Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. This presented something of a dilemma for me, because – whereas you could argue that the whole of Mrs Darcy is borrowed from other sources – I didn’t really want it to look as if one of those sources was Quirk Classics.
However, given that Mrs Darcy‘s aliens have tentacles (and I really don’t want to lose those), it would seem peculiar not to at least have a passing reference to the most famous tentacled alien in fiction. Hence the passing reference in this episode. And that’s the last you’ll be hearing about him.

What a delight that was. I do love your Byron.
Thanks! I’m getting rather fond of him myself
